A 75-year-old man has been injured in a glider accident. The glider crashed as it tried to land at the Scottish Gliding Centre at Portmoak Airport, Scotlandwell, near Kinross at around 12pm on Tuesday. The pilot, who is from the Edinburgh area, was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with a suspected back injury. The glider was extensively damaged in the crash. No other gliders or people were involved in the collision. The Air Accidents Investigations Branch has been informed and will likely carry out its own investigation into the incident.
