Perth post office manager denies embezzling almost £150,000

A 53-year-old post office manager has been accused of embezzling almost £150,000 from her workplace and a charity project.
Carol Oswald has also been accused of stealing thousands of pounds from an 81-year-old woman.
Oswald appeared in the dock at Perth Sheriff Court and denied helping herself to £139,051 from the Letham post office in Rannoch Road, Perth.
It is alleged she took the cash between January 1 2008 and December 6 2012.
Oswald, of Grange Terrace, Perth, further denies embezzling £10,518 from Letham Climate Challenge between November 4 2011 and November 30 2012 while a trustee of the charity.
She also denies stealing £8,059 from Jean Johnson, 81, between October 7 2010 and December 3 2012.
Oswald denied all of the charges against her and her bail was continued until her scheduled trial in April.
