Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after accident on A9

A motorcyclist is in hospital following a collision on the A9 at the weekend.
The 60-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital by air ambulance and is being treated for serious leg and arm injuries after the incident, which took place on Saturday around 1.30pm near the junction of Bruar.
The biker had been involved in an accident with a black Ford Mondeo.
A police spokesman said: “The road was temporarily closed for over two hours to allow emergency treatment of the casualty and removal of the vehicles.”
The car occupants were uninjured.
