Four teams from Lynedoch Golf League are taking a big challenge by playing 72 holes in one day for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The 13 enthusiastic golfers will be playing Murrayshall and Lynedoch golf courses, near Scone, on Saturday, a challenge which should take at least 16 hours to complete.
Duncan Paton, captain of Lynedoch, said: “We are all really glad to support such a wonderful cause, although it will be one of the hardest things I have ever done.
“I have played on Lynedoch twice in one day before and it took me almost a week to recover.”
Lynedoch Golf Club is also showing its support for the charity by designating a bunker on the 18th hole to Macmillan.
Golfers unfortunate enough to land their ball in the bunker can pay a penalty donation in the charity’s collection tin at the clubhouse.
