Actress Susan Penhaligon took time out from rehearsals to show support for a special event for dementia professionals at Perth Theatre.

The star of stage and screen visited the Play Positively for Dementia event being run at the studio theatre by local mental health charity Plus Perth.

Susan, who shot to fame in the drama A Bouquet Of Barbed Wire and has been seen on soap opera Emmerdale, is currently starring in The Madness Of King George III at the theatre.

The event was organised for health professionals to be given a different perspective on dementia treatment and features a performance of the play You Don’t Know Me, by the Elderflowers.

It was followed by a clowning workshop by the charity Hearts and Minds and another fund-raising performance of the play on Friday night.
