A daredevil Perthshire bride made a leap into the unknown to celebrate her wedding.

Hours after marrying Kevin Wilkinson, Sarah Bednarek from Blairgowrie took the plunge again a 130ft bungee jump wearing her wedding dress.

Sarah, 28, only broke the news of her intended leap to stunned family members during the wedding speeches.

Earlier she had married Kevin Wilkinson, 25, from Bridge of Cally, at Netherton Church, outside Bridge of Cally, followed by the wedding reception in Kirkmichael.

The next day cheered on by husband Kevin, family members and bridesmaids Mrs Wilkinson plunged 40 metres at 50mph from Garry Bridge near Killiecrankie in her 1950s style wedding dress.

Gathered below the jump platform they were further enthralled when Sarah decided to jump again, the second time backwards.

“I like doing different things and there’s nothing better than bungee jumping on your wedding weekend, is there?” said Sarah.

“Kev couldn’t even go near the platform, he’s not an extreme sport fan, but I absolutely loved it.”
