A fund with £200,000 to invest in local projects across Scotland has awarded more than £24,000 to groups in Perthshire North, which has delighted the constituency MSP John Swinney.
The grant funding was awarded by the Communities and Families Fund, which is a joint venture between the Big Lottery Fund and the Scottish Government.
The purpose of the fund is to assist groups working with children eight years old and under.
Welcoming the grants, Mr Swinney said: “A huge well done to Muirton Community Nursery Training and Childcare Project, Alyth Out of School Care Group and Humpty Dumpty Playgroup in Scone.
“Once again organisations in Perthshire North have been rewarded for their creativity and professionalism in bidding for a share of national funding.
“To have secured £24,000 from a pot of £200,000 across the whole country is a great achievement and one which will pay dividends locally.”
