The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a tiny kitten was found badly injured in Perth.
The cat was found struggling in the middle of George Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The seven-week-old grey female kitten is in the care of a local veterinary practice, where she continues to be monitored.
Animal rescue officer Ben Soutar said, “When this kitten was found, she was unable to stand or even drink water. Unfortunately she has sustained a head injury, possibly after falling from a height or being hit by a car.
“It’s still very early days as to whether she will be able to make a full recovery, but the vet has advised she is doing much better.
“We’re keen to hear from anyone who recognises her. It’s possible she has escaped from her home by accident and her owner is very worried but we can’t rule out the possibility she has been abandoned.”
Anyone who recognises the kitten is being asked to call the animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
