A motorist has died following a crash at an A9 accident blackspot near Perth.
63-year-old Peter Isted died on Sunday after the accident on Saturday morning.
It took place on the southbound A9 on a section of dual carriageway south of Birnam, Dunkeld, shortly before midday. The driver was rushed to hospital in Dundee but died on Sunday afternoon.
A spokesman for Police Scotland Tayside Division said: “Police Scotland can confirm that they received notification from Ninewells Hospital this morning that the 63-year-old male driver involved in this incident had sadly died.”
He added: “The driver of a green Land Rover Defender, which had been travelling southwards, had lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.
“Emergency services attended at the locus and the single occupant of the Land Rover was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance. No other vehicles were involved and no-one else was injured as a result of this collision.
“Inquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are ongoing and Police Scotland would appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or can assist them with their inquiries to call them on 101.
“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
