Tributes have been paid to a woman who died after being hit by a car driven by her husband in a freak accident in Kinross-shire.
Residents said Kim Clark “always had a smile” on her face.
The 46-year-old is understood to have suffered crush injuries when she was hit by the vehicle at 1pmon Tuesdayin a work yard off South Street, Milnathort.
Her husband Stephen, 47, is believed to have been driving the vehicle which hit his wife.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, she died at the scene.
The pair ran Restoration and Renovation Scotland Ltd, which is located on Moss Road, off South Street.
Scenes of crime and forensic officers remained at the site of the accident until around midnight on Tuesday, carrying out investigations.
Family and friends of Mrs Clark paid tribute to her.
Vicky Grosset, of Kelty, posted on Facebook: “I can’t believe what’s happening to us. My cousin was killed in a freak accident. We were together at mum’s funeral and she’s gone.”
Friend Shannon McGurk posted: “Sleep tight beautiful lady you were one in a million.”
Local residents posted similar messages on social media.
Mandy Mabbott said: “This has affected everyone in the community. She was such a lovely lady always had a smile on her face and never walked passed you without saying ‘Hi.’ Will be so missed.”
Anna Brown said: “So sad, she was such a lovely lady, always greeted you with a smile. Thoughts are with her family at this awful time.”
Michael Craig Gray said: “So sad such a well-liked lady so down to earth. Always had a big smile.
“This has deeply affected people in the community.”
Kinross-shire councillor Joe Giacopazzi said: “I personally was very shocked, I walked past at the time of the incident.
“I was extremely saddened when I heard who the victim was. She was a delightful person, always smiling a caring person. This has caused great upset among the neighbours and those who knew her.”
Fellow Kinross-shire councillor Willie Robertson said: “Everyone is extremely sad and shocked by Tuesday’s events. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families in what is a very distressing time.”
A police spokeswoman said inquiries were continuing but added that no one has been charged in connection with the incident.
“Anyone who was in the area at the time and has information that could assist police with their inquiries is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101,” she said.
