Assaulting police officers on three different occasions resulted in a Perth woman losing her liberty.
Sheriff Michael Fletcher told Deborah Keith that there was “no excuse” for her behaviour and criticised her “lengthy” record.
She stood weeping in the dock as she was jailed for a total of seven months four months for the police assaults and three months for breaching bail conditions within 10 days of them being imposed.
She was admonished for causing a breach of the peace at Cath House. Perth Sheriff Court heard that the 48-year-old had a drink problem, which led to her serial offending.
Keith, of York Place, admitted that on December 23 last year, at Clepington Road, Dundee, she assaulted two police officers by kicking them repeatedly on the legs and that she behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting and swearing at officers and refusing to leave the area.
She also admitted that on March 8, at Divisional Headquarters in Perth, she assaulted a police officer by striking him on the body with her knee.
Keith further admitted breaching the peace at Cath House on York Place by shouting, swearing, repeatedly banging on the office window and door, and persistently ringing the doorbell.
She faced a final charge of breaching bail conditions by failing to behave in an acceptable manner at Cath House on March 23, being drunk, kicking at the door, shouting and swearing.
