Police in Perth are searching for the graffiti “taggers” who targeted sports facilities in the city at the weekend. Blue spray paint was used to scrawl messages across the starter’s hut and signs at the North Inch. The “tags” identifying logos left behind by vandals read PYT, CSYG and RAFA. Another reads, PYT Rule. The bill for repairing the damage, which happened on Friday, could run into hundreds of pounds. Perth policeman PC Atholl Spalding has appealed for help in identifying the tags and their perpetrators and hopes that someone will recognise them. He said: “I’m looking for a wee bit of community assistance with these vandalisms, spray painted on the North Inch. “Who’s RAFA and ‘PYT’ Perth Young Team?” he asked. Anyone with information can contact the police by calling 101. PC Spalding will also be manning the police community office at King Edward St, Perth, from 10am to 11am today.
