Motorists are being warned to expect delays as BEAR Scotland begins a £110,000 improvement programme on the M90 near Perth.
The works will start on Monday on a 1.7km stretch of the motorway between Balmanno Hill and Bridge of Earn.
Repairs will be made to the surface of the northbound carriageway. A contraflow with a 50mph speed limit will be put in place, and the traffic management systems will be in operation from Sunday until Thursday.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Unit representative, said: “These works will repair a number of ruts and surface defects, which will improve the general condition of the road and enhance ride quality for motorists.
“The works are being carried out using a 24-hour contraflow system. Some delays are possible at peak times and we would encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time.”
Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using Sepa-approved methods.
