The European and US Ryder Cup captains will be put in the hot seat as part of an exclusive event to be held in Perth.
Golf fans will be given the opportunity to grill Paul McGinley and Tom Watson during a one-off question-and-answer session at Perth Concert Hall on September 23.
Questions can be submitted via Twitter in the run up to the event, using the hashtag #captainsquestions and account @RyderCup. The most popular will be put to the pair by broadcaster Dougie Donnelly.
Ryder Cup match director Edward Kitson said: “This promises to be an unmissable evening for Ryder Cup fans.
“It will allow the public to gain a unique perspective on the 2014 Ryder Cup through the eyes of the captains themselves, and is a wonderful addition to the exciting programme of events we have lined up for the Year to Go celebrations. We look forward to selecting the best questions for Dougie to pose to the two captains.”
Although McGinley and Watson will be the main attraction at the event, dubbed An Audience with the Ryder Cup Captains, entertainment will be provided by Scottish band Hue and Cry and comedian Fred MacAulay.
Fans will also be treated to a selection of treats provided by Scotland Food and Drink.
Chief executive James Withers said: “As well as being the home of golf, Scotland is also a land of food and drink.
“There is an amazing array of local producers in Perthshire and beyond. Those attending the evening will get a real taste of the world class produce that will be showcased at the 2014 Ryder Cup.”
A limited number of tickets go on sale today via Perth Concert Hall’s box office, by calling 01738 621031 or visiting www.horsecross.co.uk.
They cost £10 each and are limited to two per person, with all proceeds going towards official Ryder Cup charities.
Jacqueline McKay, of Horsecross Arts, said: “We are thrilled that Perth Concert Hall has been chosen as one of the venues for the Year to Go celebrations for the 2014 Ryder Cup and delighted to be playing host to Paul McGinley and Tom Watson as they get the Ryder Cup 2014 party started.”
The 2014 Ryder Cup takes place over six days at Gleneagles and encompasses three practice days beginning on Tuesday September 23 then three match days from the Friday.
