Firefighters were called out in force this morning after flames tore through the roof an attic flat in Perth.
Five appliances, including an aerial ladder, were scrambled to the city’s George Street shortly after 8.30am.
Much of the street was cordoned-off as crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the building as colleagues began to battle the fire from above.

The Scottish Ambulance service was called to the scene and one person was taken to hospital.
It is understood the flat’s occupant attempted to put out the fire before crews arrived but suffered smoke inhalation and a cut to his hand as a result.
