Man suffers facial injuries during robbery in Blairgowrie

A man was brutally assaulted and robbed as he walked in Blairgowrie late on Sunday night.
The 30-year-old was knocked to the ground on Perth Road and the two men who attacked him then made off with his wallet, leaving him with wounds to his face.
The incident happened between 11.30pm on Sunday and 12.30am on Monday.
A spokesman for Tayside Police said: “The man was walking in the street when he was approached by two men, who assaulted him, knocked him to the ground, before robbing him of his wallet. The victim was shaken and suffered minor facial injuries.”
The suspects are both described as being about 5ft 8in tall. One of the men was stocky and wearing a dark, beanie-style hat, a black waterproof jacket and jeans.
The other man was wearing a dark blue, hooded top and jeans. Witnesses have been asked to call new police non-emergency number, 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
