Funeral for Egyptian balloon crash victim Yvonne Rennie held in Perth

Mourners at the funeral of Egyptian balloon crash victim Yvonne Rennie were asked to remember her “adventurous spirit and love of life”.
Mrs Rennie died on February 26 while on a pleasure trip with her husband Michael in the skies above Luxor.
Those who gathered at Perth Crematorium had previously been told about Mrs Rennie’s teenage exploits and of how she met Michael, the only tourist to survive the fireball that ripped apart the balloon.
Mr Rennie arrived with his wife’s parents Nan and Willie and her sisters Allison and Lynn for the service at Perth Crematorium.
More than 200 mourners gathered to remember the “truly special” hospital administrator, who worked in the radiology department of Perth Royal Infirmary.
The couple had married in Gretna Green in 2007 and returned for their anniversary last year.
Mourners were told how the couple or rather Yvonne was decorating their Perth home. She had allowed Michael to pick one item in each room, an L-shaped bath, a bed with integrated TV and an American-style fridge freezer.
Michael now plans to complete the kitchen to Yvonne’s design as a tribute to his wife.
