More than £150,000 of improvements are to be made to one of Scotland’s most dangerous roads.
The A9 near Perth will see improvements to a mile-long stretch between Inveralmond roundabout and Broxden roundabout. The work will last for three nights.
It comes just a week after £140,000-worth of work was carried out installing new safety barriers on the road. The works being undertaken by BEAR Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland will involve the resurfacing of both southbound lanes.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north east unit representative, said: “These works will repair a number of ruts, cracks and potholes, which will improve the general condition of the road and enhance ride quality for motorists.
“The works are being carried out overnight to minimise delays. We would however, encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time.”
