Perthshire legal firm Macnabs has agreed a new deal to market its properties through burgeoning city estate agency Next Home.
The step will see the legal firm, which has been serving clients since the 1880s, leave the Perthshire Solicitors Property Centre.
A spokesman for Macnabs said the firm had elected to move to a “new way” of marketing property following lengthy negotiations with its new partner.
“Next Home has developed a very strong and positive presence in Perthshire estate agency,” he said.
“Their expertise in marketing combined with our extensive legal expertise will be a potent combination and will be a major benefit for both businesses’ clients.
“We now firmly believe, from our depth of experience in the property marketplace, that marketing houses through Next Home is a more effective and more certain way of achieving a sale.”
As part of the deal, Macnabs will also complete conveyancing and other legal work on behalf of Next Home.
The agency is preparing to complement its offices in Perth, Crieff and Auchterarder with new premises in Blairgowrie and a marketing suite in Macnabs’ Pitlochry office.
“This is a ground-breaking move for Next Home and one which our board has anticipated over the last couple of years,” said Next Home’s John Greener.
“There is no doubt that in this climate, and given the circumstances of the property market since 2008, vendors require every tool available to sell their property.”
