Three football fans have been banned from attending games in Perth ahead of their trial in July.
Celtic supporters Ryan Sweeten (19), Kieran Doohan (20) and Mark Cowan (18) are accused of challenging an opposing fan to fight after attending a game at McDiarmid Park on February 19.
Sweeten, of Alexandra Parade, Glasgow, is further accused of assaulting a man outside the ground with a belt. All three denied the charges against them when they appeared at Perth Sheriff Court.
Depute fiscal Chris MacIntosh had asked Sheriff Derek O’Carroll to consider banning the trio from every SPL ground, as well as the national stadium at Hampden, as one of their bail conditions.
He also called for them to be stopped from attending any other regulated game in the country. However, defence agents for the three opposed the sanction, saying it was disproportionate to the alleged crimes.
Sheriff O’Carroll instead decided to impose a ban only for the Perth ground after hearing that Doohan, of Parkbrae Lane, Glasgow, was the holder of a £500 season ticket for Parkhead.
He warned the trio that any misbehaviour while on bail could result in them being banned from Celtic Park.
Sweeten, Doohan and Cowan, of Muiryhall Street, Coatbridge, will appear again at Perth Sheriff Court for an intermediate diet on May 30, ahead of their trial on July 19.
