Eight Michelin stars will be on show at Gleneagles next month when a quartet of culinary geniuses meets up.
Andrew Fairlie, Claude Bosi, Sat Bains and Tom Kerridge who all hold two Michelin stars will show off their skills in three nights of culinary magic from May 7.
They will showcase their personal styles and tastes over three consecutive nights, to an audience of paying guests.
Andrew Fairlie said: “This is really quite an exceptional week for us.
“One of the most exciting things, for me, is the diversity of styles they will demonstrate. Tom is famous for having the only two-Michelin-star pub in the world, so his style appears rustic but has great detail and understanding behind it.
“Sat is revered for being at the vanguard of modern cooking technique, whilst Claude comes with an amazing classic French pedigree but has developed his own highly distinctive and precise style.
“The one thing they all seemed truly jealous of was the abundance of great quality ingredients we get here in Scotland. My team can’t wait to see what they do with our fabulous produce.”
Perth and Kinross councilor Ann Gaunt said the event would be a welcome boost for the area.
She said: “It’s very exciting to see top chefs coming to this area. Hopefully it will bring people into the area who have never been here before.
“There should also be some spin-off for the local economy.”
She added that the chefs are likely to be provided with top-quality local ingredients during their stay. She said: “We have lovely local lamb and venison, as well as pheasant and game.
“In the summer we have lovely raspberries. This event will put Auchterarder on the map for food.”
Each evening will consist of six courses with wine and is available to book for £175 per person. To secure a place for one of the evenings call Restaurant Andrew Fairlie on 01764 694267.
