Charlie Guest back skiing just weeks after fracturing vertebrae in Swedish accident

Skier Charlie Guest has returned to the slopes for the first time following a horrific accident which could have ended her career.

The sportswoman tweeted two images of herself back in action at the Cairngorm snow sports centre, near Braemar.

Charlie broke four vertebrae when she hit a rock in Sweden and was strapped to a board for eight hours as an ambulance took her 250 kilometres to hospital at Ostersund.

She has previously said her injuries would have been more severe had her coach not insisted she wear a back protector.
