Gleneagles Hotel has been voted Scotland’s best hotel resort by more than 7,000 readers of a golf magazine.
The annual Today’s Golfer Travel Awards named Gleneagles their country’s top place to stay and play golf.
The award comes just weeks after Gleneagles was crowned the UK’s Best Rural Hotel by readers of the Sunday Times Travel magazine.
Today’s Golfer editor, Chris Jones, said: “These are the only golf travel awards nominated by real golfers, who pay to play and stay at these destinations.
“That’s why you can guarantee the courses and resorts who’ve been successful will give you a fantastic experience.”
Patrick Elsmie, Gleneagles’ managing director, said: “It’s a terrific honour to be chosen by so many golfers as their favourite resort.
“With the Ryder Cup just 18 months away, interest in golfing trips to Scotland is only going to increase so it’s a great time to get this kind of recognition.”
