Drunk motorist banned after running red lights in Perth

A drink-driver stopped by police officers after she ran two red lights in the centre of Perth has been banned from the road for a year.
Kirsty Cilke had fallen out with colleagues on a work night out on Sunday and fled home.
Concerned for workplace relations when she met them again the following day, however, she jumped behind the wheel to return to Perth city centre in a bid to sort things out.
She was stopped by police officers when they spotted her Ford Focus failing to stop at red lights on North Methven Street and South Methven Street.
Cilke (23), of Uist Place, Perth, gave a positive roadside breath test and admitted to driving with excess alcohol (61 mic). The legal limit is 35 mic.
In addition to imposing a ban, Sheriff Michael Fletcher fined the accused £600.
Meanwhile, Alexander Taylor (56), of Willoughby Street, Muthill, was disqualified from driving for 22 months and fined £600.
He admitted driving a car with excess alcohol (108 mic) on the town’s South Bridgend on Saturday.
