The beautiful Perth group held its first action day of the year when volunteers descended on Muirton.
The group spent Monday morning picking up the unsightly rubbish that has been blighting the area in recent weeks.
It is hoped the efforts will inspire others in the area to tackle the litter problem in the longer term.
Beautiful Perth chairman John Summers said: “Our volunteers are looking forward to a busy year ahead.
“As well as action days like this one we are planning a lot of other activities across the city, including of course planting many of the gorgeous floral displays and sustainable shrubberies that Perth is so famous for every summer.
“We’re also pledging to take part in the National Spring Clean, organised by Keep Scotland Beautiful, in April.
“Hopefully lots of people in Perth will join us by pledging to take action to spruce up the Fair City.”
