Around 60 jobs will go as Kinross-shire care home shuts

A KINROSS-SHIRE care home is to close with the loss of around 60 jobs.
More than 20 residents will also have to be found new accommodation when the Levenglen nursing home in Glenlomond, near Kinross, closes next year.
The home is operated by independent health and social care provider Embrace.
Residents have been placed at Levenglen by Perth and Kinross Council, which expressed regret at the closure but gratitude for a commitment that the home will stay open until alternative arrangements can be made for the residents can be made.
A spokesperson for Embrace said it had been a “difficult decision” which had been prompted by the need for changes to the building “beyond the scope of a feasible refurbishment programme in order for it to meet future care needs.”
