A close-knit Perthshire community came together to share their memories of tragic pensioner Jenny Methven at her funeral on Thursday.
Mourners gathered in Forteviot Church to pay their respects to Mrs Methven, who was found dead in her nearby cottage by her son David on February 20.
Family, friends and others whose lives had been touched by the popular 80-year-old took part in a celebration of her life.
Mrs Methven, who was born in Milnathort but had lived in the Forteviot area for many years, had enjoyed a fulfilled life.
She was buried to the rear of the historic church beside her late husband, former Dupplin Estate gamekeeper Andrew Methven, who died in 2006, aged 81.
The man accused of murdering Mrs Methven, William Kean from Blairgowrie, was remanded in custody following a brief appearance on petition at Perth Sheriff Court on March 30.
The 46-year-old was accused of murdering Mrs Methven by repeatedly hitting her with a blunt instrument.
The Crown Office say no dates for future court appearances have been set.
