Perthshire residents have been enjoying a closer than usual view of a military giant of the air.
The Hercules was engaged in low-level exercises over the weekend, provoking a few concerns for locals.
Mhairi Carroll photographed the aircraft over the countryside near Perth.
Her husband Paul said: ”This plane flew very close to the ground over our home in Forgandenny.
”My wife Mhairi was outside taking photographs when she hear the loud roar and turned around to see a plane that looks like something from a war zone diving towards our house.
”Obviously it pulled up and flew quickly over her head on its way along Strathearn.”
An RAF spokesman at Leuchars confirmed there was an RAF C130K Hercules aircraft from No 47 Squadron based at RAF Brize Norton flying over Perthshire at the weekend.
