A court has heard how a Kinross resident downed tonic wine before having sex with a 14-year-old.
Ryan Adsley had exchanged text messages with the girl before having unlawful intercourse with her on Valentine’s Day.
Police were called in after the complainer told her sister what had happened.
Adsley (17), of Bowton Road, initially denied having full sex with the school pupil, but admitted the offence at Perth Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Depute fiscal Janine Bates told the court, “The complainer was a 14-year-old schoolgirl at the time.
“She had known the accused for about one year but they had not been in a relationship.
“However, they had exchanged text messages and had spoken if they bumped into each other when out with friends.”
Adsley sent the girl a text message day on Valentine’s Day to ask if she was planning to go out that night.
Ms Bates said, “They exchanged some general chit-chat by text message and then arranged to meet later on.
“The complainer had pre-planned to stay at a friend’s house that night.
“She met with a number of other friends and it was agreed that they would go to someone’s house for a get-together.”Drinking alcoholThe depute fiscal said Adsley was among others invited to the property.
She said, “It was at this house that the accused and complainer went upstairs to a bedroom to listen to music.
“The accused was drinking Buckfast but the complainer was not consuming alcohol.”
She added, “Another two people were initially in the same bedroom but they left, leaving the accused and complainer alone.
“At this stage they had sexual intercourse.”
Ms Bates pointed out there was nothing to suggest the 14-year-old girl had been unhappy with the development.
She said, “In fairness to the accused it was fairly consensual.
“When the girl returned home something was said to her sister and she told their mother who then made the complaint.”
She added, “Initially the accused denied he had sexual intercourse to police although he admitted they had engaged in sexual activity.”
Sentence was deferred until July 21 for reports.
Solicitor Paul Ralph said he would “reserve any remarks” until then and Adsley was released on bail.
