Drugs have claimed the life of yet another addict in Perth.
Lynn Furlong’s is the third overdose death to hit the city this month. She was found behind the sheriff court on Speygate on Sunday.
Police are treating the death as ”unexplained” but confirmed the 36-year-old’s body had been found by a member of the public.
A spokesman said: ”Tayside Police attended at an address at Speygate, Perth, on Sunday March 25 following a report of a sudden death of a 36-year-old woman.
”It is being treated as unexplained and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
Tayside has seen a spate of drugs deaths, with 17 drugs-related fatalities so far this year.
The police confirmed at the weekend that a cocktail of illegal substances had been found in toxicology tests returning from recent victims.
Assistant Chief Constable Angela Wilson said: ”It’s really difficult because many of these people take more than one substance and it is very difficult to say which took their life at the end.”
James Brown (22) was found dead at Greyfriars Hostel, Princes Street, a week ago. His death is also still being treated as ”unexplained” but was drugs related.
Kerrin Wishart (23) was found dead in a flat in Firbank Road on March 8.
