A Turk has had his ban from entering Perth upheld by a sheriff.
Jeronimo Bouceiro (39) was forbidden from entering the city after being accused of scaring a woman by following her on holiday to Turkey, operating surveillance on her and repeatedly contacting her.
Bouceiro, of Main Street, Kinross, denies engaging in a course of conduct that caused the woman fear and alarm between May 27 last year and March 23. The charge states Bouceiro contacted her by text message, phone calls, email and letter to state he was in love with her and he was watching her. He is accused of accessing her private documentation to establish her holiday details and following her to a resort in Turkey.
Against her requests, he is said to have called her at home and attempted to force entry to her house and walk around her property without permission. He is also said to have placed flowers on her car when she parked it at her workplace and carried out surveillance to establish her new address and phone number.
On Thursday, Bouceiro’s solicitor claimed a bail condition prohibiting him from entering Perth was too stringent as it stopped him looking for work.
The appeal to change it failed and the case was continued until August 9.
