All roads lead to Perthshire: cyclists urged to move quickly to secure Etape Caledonia place

Following one of the most successful years for UK cycling, places on the Etape Caledonia 2013 are set to be snapped up in record time.
Cyclists hoping to emulate their heroes, including Sir Chris Hoy, Bradley Wiggins and Sarah Storey, are urged to register their interest for the popular closed-road sportive.
The event, which takes competitors along an 81-mile route through Highland Perthshire, has sold out in the last two years and organisers believe next year will be no different.
More than 7,000 cyclists have already registered their interest for the May 12 event, but only 5,250 spaces are available.
James Robinson, managing director of Etape Caledonia organisers IMG Challenger, said: ”With cycling placed firmly in the hearts and minds of the British public following an incredible sporting year, I am delighted that we will be returning to Scotland for the seventh Etape Caledonia.”
He encouraged would-be participants to enter as soon as possible after last year’s Etape sold out in six weeks.”
