ByThe Courier Reporter
The head teacher of Blairgowrie High School will retire later this year, after nine years in charge.
Gordon Miller will be absent from the school this term and Perth and Kinross Council confirmed he will retire from his post at the end of October, with the school aiming to announce his replacement next month.
Quality improvement officer Bev Leslie is taking on the responsibilities as acting head teacher.
A spokeswoman for Perth and Kinross Council last night said she could confirm that Mr Miller will retire in October and that he is currently absent from school.
