A Dundee supermarket was forced to close after crowds because of a rush for Black Friday bargains.
The Tesco Extra store on Kingsway West was forced to close just after midnight and did not re-open until 5am.
Police said no criminality had occurred but a statement on the Tayside Division’s Facebook page said the supermarket had chosen to close the store because of concerns over customer safety.
Forfar man Stevan Hogg posted this video, which contains swearing, of shoppers this morning.
It shows displays being toppled over in the rush for goods.
Meanwhile one bargain hunter in Perth reportedly sustained a cut to their hand while sale shopping at Tesco on Crieff Road.
