A group of friends have decided to inject a bit of fun into the independence referendum debate by setting up a ‘Scottish Border Agency’ passport control centre.
The group installed the spoof crossing on the A68 at Carter Bar near Jedburgh.
The pranksters erected signs and barriers and wore high-visibility jackets in a bid to lighten the mood as the debate over Scotland’s future intensifies in the run-up to Thursday.
“Some of us are Scottish, some of us are English. The debate needed a bit of a joke,” said organiser Jon Parker Lee.
