St Johnstone fan’s life saved by Kilmarnock supporter ahead of League Cup clash
ByKirsty McIntosh
A Kilmarnock fan that helped save the life of a Saints supporter who collapsed before Tuesday’s League Cup game had only recently learned CPR.
The supporter was one of two men who rushed to the aid of the elderly St Johnstone follower after he took ill in the sports bar at Rugby Park.
The pair, who were also in the bar at the time, were able to revive the man, from Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
It is understood that one of the good Samaritans had taken part in a British Heart Foundation Heart Start session, which was organised by the club’s supporters association six months ago.
