Kinross-shire’s newest school was officially opened by First Minister Alex Salmond this week.
Loch Leven Community Campus in Kinross is part of Perth and Kinross Council’s £136m Investment in Learning Programme and brings together state-ofthe-art facilities for school pupils and Kinross-shire residents.
As well as modern classrooms and teaching resources there is a range of provision for community use.
This includes a fitness suite, dance studio, climbing wall, outdoor football, rugby and hockey pitches, meeting rooms, a drama and recording studio and a hall with cinema-style projection.
A new community library houses a museum exhibition space managed by Kinross Museum Trust.
Council convener of lifelong learning Councillor Elizabeth Grant and Loch Leven Campus leader Dick Keatings welcomed the first minister to the campus.
They gave him a tour of the facilities and Mr Salmond unveiled a brass plaque to mark the occasion.
He was presented with a silver quaich by head girl Abby Clark and head boy Daniel Brown.
