St Leonards School upper sixth formers Catriona Stirling and Eva Dumann are bound for Cambridge, while Emilia Carslaw is heading for Oxford. Providing all goes well in their final International Baccalaureate diploma exams next month, the girls will take up their places in the autumn. Catriona, from St Andrews, is to study English, while Eva, from Hannover in Germany, will study medicine and Emilia, also of St Andrews, classics. Headmaster Dr Michael Carslaw said, “The girls have done outstandingly well to gain offers from two of the UK’s leading universities. “This is particularly so given that entry into our leading universities is becoming more and more competitive.”
