Hundreds of people across Tayside and Fife are set to start 2015 by taking the plunge in a New Year’s Day dook.

Events have been organised across Tayside and Fife in addition to the annual Loony Dook taking place at South Queensferry at 1.30pm.DundeeYe Amphibious Ancients Bathing Association’s popular Broughty Ferry dook takes place at the harbour at 11am.
Tickets cost £15 and there is still time to register for those who fancy the challenge.AngusThere are a host of events in Angus.
Arbroath’s dook takes place at 1pm from the lifeboat station, where changing facilities will be provided.Have we missed any? Comment below or email online@thecourier.co.ukThe entry fee of £10 for adults and £5 for children will go to Cancer Research UK.
People can sign up for the event on the day at the lifeboat station before 12.30pm and can also download registration forms here.
Fancy dress is encouraged.
The Carnoustie dook takes place at the town’s beachfront, beside the paddling pool at 12.30pm. Dookers should meet at noon.
The event is organised by Carnoustie HSFP RFC and entry forms will be available on the day.
There will also be a dook in Stonehavento raise funds for CLIC Sargent.FifeIn Fife, there are dooks at St Andrews, Kirkcaldy, Limekilns and Kinghorn.
The St Andrews event begins at 10am sharp at East Sands while the Kirkcaldy event will take place at noon on Seafield beach.
The Limekilns Breakfast Dip takes place on Limekilns Promenade.
Entrants should arrive at 11am for registration, with the dip taking place at midday.
Entry is £10, all of which will go to Fife Young Carers.
Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat is organising a Golden Loony Dook at 11am tomorrow on Kinghorn beach.
Anyone intending to take part should bring dry clothes and towels.
