Female police officer found dead in Alloa station

A female police officer has been found dead at a central Scotland police station.

The 29-year-old woman was discovered in the police premises at Marr Place in Alloa.

Other than her age, no details about the woman have been released by the authorities.

The grim find was made at about 7.40pm on Saturday.

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death but Police Scotland said a full investigation will be carried out.

As with all sudden deaths, a report will be prepared for the procurator fiscal.

It is understood that no firearm was involved in the officer’s death.
