England fans’ “We’re all voting Yes” chant dismissed as ‘football banter’

A foul-mouthed intervention into the referendum debate from England football fans has been dismissed as “banter” by the Tartan Army.
English supporters were captured on film chanting, “F*** off Scotland, we’re all voting Yes” during their side’s 2-0 win in Switzerland on Monday night.
The clip went viral within 12 hours and has been shared more than 6,450 times.
Hamish Husband of the Association of Tartan Army Clubs said members would be looking forward to repaying the hospitality the English showed the Scots the last time the two sides met at Wembley.
He added: “I’m sure it (the chant) was meant in the spirit of football banter and was made in the best possible taste.
“I’m looking forward to England’s visit to Glasgow in November when we can repay the courtesy they showed us when we were there last year.”
Scotland are due to host England at Celtic Park on November 18 in an international friendly.
