Crews were called out to the Southerness holiday village shortly after midnight. A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said five appliances were sent to the site. Firefighters have been working through the night and this morning to control the large blaze. She said: “We are still there now. We sent five appliances, four hose reel jets, three main jets and an aerial appliance.” The holiday village, on the Solway coast, is popular with tourists and has a number of caravans. No-one is believed to have been hurt in the incident.
