Courier country is set to sizzle this weekend at least initially.
The summer sun has been shining for much of the week and the good weather looks set to hold for one more day.
Children were out making the most of their summer holidays at Broughty Ferry beach on Friday, and T in the Park had a fantastic sun-drenched start.
Revellers at the Balado festival will be looking out the sun cream instead of the welly boots at least until tonight, when the weather is set to break spectacularly.
Sunday brings rain and a forecast of thunder and lightning as bad weather sweeps in from the Atlantic.
Advice from the Met Office is to enjoy the weather at the start of the weekend, but if you go out tomorrow, take an umbrella.
A Met Office spokesperson said: “Friday was a lovely day, temperatures in the evening were between 21 and 24.
“This weather should hold into Saturday…but it will get very wet later on.
“Sunday is set to be the opposite, starting wet and slowly improving.”
If Courier readers are heading for one of the area’s many beauty spots, advice seems to be to do it on Saturday morning, or Sunday afternoon.
Hayfever sufferers are warned that pollen levels will also be high while the sun is out.
