Brandon Iliff, 13, and his eight-year-old brother Bernie went cycling in at 6pm on Monday but failed to return to their home in Redlands Road. A helicopter and several police units were dispatched to look for the boys, with police officers with torches searching in gardens. By midnight the boys had still not been found and helicopters continued to circle over Clackmannanshire well into the early hours. The police appealed to members of the public to assist in the search by checking sheds, garages and other outbuildings. It was confirmed today that the boys had subsequently been traced. “They were found in the early hours of the morning by police in a nearby street,” said a police spokesman. “Thanks to the public for their support.”
