A murder probe has been launched by police in Edinburgh.
Alexander Duncan, 59, was found dead at a property in Primrose Street in the Leith area on Sunday.
Officers are now treating the incident as murder and have issued an appeal for witnesses.
They want to speak to anyone who was in the Primrose Street area and who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious.
Detective inspector Martin MacLean, of Police Scotland, said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the Primrose Street area from Thursday April 16 onwards or who knew Alexander Duncan.”
