The incident happened in the Drylaw area of Edinburgh at about 9am on Monday. The injured woman was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Police have launched an investigation. A police spokesman said: “Police in Edinburgh are investigating following a report of an assault in the Drylaw area of the city. “The incident happened around 9am this morning. Enquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances.”
