Nicola Sturgeon is heading to Portugal for a short “working holiday”, the Scottish Government has confirmed. The First Minister, who is just back from a trade mission to China, is “going away for a few days from tomorrow”, a spokeswoman said. While Ms Sturgeon will be on holiday, she will be keeping in daily contact with Scottish Government staff. The spokeswoman said: “The First Minister is going to Portugal for a few days. She will be in touch with the office every day. “The Deputy First Minister John Swinney will be around but she is still in charge. It’s very much a working holiday.”
