The brother of Lamara Bell, who died after being left in a crashed car for three days, has begun raising funds in his sister’s memory.
Lamara, 25,died after the car being driven by her boyfriend John Yuill crashed on July 5.
Although the incident was reported to the police, it was 72 hours before it was investigated.
Whenrescuers arrived on the scene, they discovered John was dead although Lamara was still alive.
She was taken to hospital in Glasgowand put into an induced coma but the mum-of-two later died of her injuries.
Her brother Martin Bell is going to run in 10-kilometre races to raise money for The Firefighters’ Charity and Headway in her memory.
He wrote: “My sister Lamara was fatally injured in a car accident, the firefighters who rescued her and the nurses who cared for her have chosen the charities to benefit from this fundraising.
“I am raising funds as a way of giving back and as a thank you to everyone who helped my family through this ordeal.”
