Teen due in court in connection with Glasgow school assault

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an alleged serious assault near a secondary school.
Police were called to a disturbance close to Holyrood Secondary in Glasgow’s southside at around 1.20pm on Monday.
Two 14-year-old boys were hurt in the incident in Boyd Street at Brereton Street in Govanhill.
One was taken to the city’s Victoria Infirmary, while the other did not need treatment in hospital.
In a statement, Police Scotland later confirmed: “A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with the alleged serious assault in Boyd Street in Govanhill on Monday.
“A full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
The teenager is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
Holyrood is Scotland’s largest school, with a roll of more than 2,000 pupils.
