The accident happened at around 6.10pm on Thursday on an unclassified road in Wester Aberchalder village in Inverness-shire. The 21-year-old cyclist died at the scene, police said. The driver of the Transit van involved was not injured. Officers closed the road to investigate the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to the accident to contact them.
